ROB EASTLAND, DIRECTOR OF COACHING

USSF National "C" license/FA Coaching Certified. Coaching Experience: Played for and alongside highly qualified coaches within the UK professional circuit (Tony Pulis, Harry Redknapp, Eddie Howe). I have also played in the U.S. for Steve Burke (winningest coach in NAIA history). Spent first 4 years in U.S. studying Coerver Coaching directly under the Illinois rights holder. Became FA certified  and was waived into my US National C license. Coached at several large club teams, coached at Dominican University and spent last 12 years as head coach for Johnsburg High School (Boy & Girls), 3 conference FVC titles, 1 BNC title, and variety of Regional through State accolades including Coach of the Year.  Playing Experience: Five years playing professionally with AFC Bournemouth (now in English Premier League) in UK. Played alongside current manager, Eddie Howe. 2 years playing for Bognor Regis Town semi-professionally with most appearances over 2 seasons as youngest player on the team.  Came to United States on full ride soccer scholarship to play for Judson University, finishing with 46 goals and 81 assists. 3 national tournament appearances (made All Tournament teams), 1 National Championship, CCAC Championship Conference Player of the year, Record Holder, Hall of Fame Induction 2012 and various All Conference/All Regional honors. BRIAN ELIA, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COACHING

Coaching Experience: USSF National "D" License. Coached 2002 – 2016 Johnsburg White Lightning. I have coached all ages and all levels from U9 – U23 on grass, turf, sand, mud, tile, blacktop and hardwood.

Playing Experience
: Played in basically every Northern Lake County Youth Club that needed a Scrapper.  AAS Lake Villa (Chicago Kickers), Serbian Village Metro, APD Aces, Wauconda Chiefs….

Administrative Experience: From 2004 - 2016 I was the VP of Travel Operations for Johnsburg White Lightning while accepting a concurrent position of Executive Vice President from 2012 – 2016. Responsible on the JWL Board side for the implementation of the Three Lions International Player Development program of which changed the face on how the small, local Soccer Clubs operate with the use of Professional Trainers and each level. This model became the standard at Johnsburg White Lightning since it’s adaptation in 2006 and later shared collectively with McHenry Vipers in 2010. I have a Six Sigma Certification with an emphasis on the Lean Continuous Improvement Initiative.

 
 



 

CORI EASTLAND, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COACHING

USSF National "D" license.  Coaching Experience:  Started coaching in college to present. Although I would give anything to play competitively again, my passion is in coaching. I have coached all ages and levels in Elmhurst, Downers Grove, Algonquin, Cary and Johnsburg.  Highlights have included leading tours to England, Italy, Spain and Ireland and taking teams to compete in Special Olympics.  Playing Experience:  Played soccer since 5 years old, played on boys teams.  Earned numerous State Cup Champion titles under Hoffman Elite, numerous international tours to England, Scotland, Denmark, Germany and Sweden and an Elite Eight finish in the State while playing and captaining at Jacobs High School.  Received All Conference, All Regional and All Sectional honorable mention while playing at Jacobs and was captain and MVP my junior and senior year.  Went on to Play Div III at Elmhurst College where I was captain my Junior and Senior year.  Was All CCIW Conference Player sophomore, junior and seniors years in College.  Played for the W-league team Chicago Cobras during the summer while in college. Had one more "dream" season playing in 2008 and spent the summer as captain of the Chicago Breeze.  In 2008, was invited to combine in Sacramento, CA for the Women's Professional Soccer League.

DANA CHASE, STAFF TRAINER

USSF National "D" License

Coaching Experience: 
As High School Freshman, I was first JWL Player chosen by Rob & Cori Eastland for the Inaugural year of the Three Lions International Intern program. (4) years Johnsburg White Lightning Kiddie Kickers, Fox Valley and Rec. Received my USSF/IYSA “E” License while still in High School. While in College was Asst Varsity Coach for the MacArthur High School Boys & Girls program for 2 years. While Teaching at Johnsburg High, was the Boys & Girls Assistant Varsity Coach. Johnsburg White Lightning U9-U19 Staff Coach.

Playing Experience
: Played on Boys and Girls Travel teams of Johnsburg White Lightning from U10-U19. Played U13-U19 Indoor League & Futsal for Johnsburg White Lightning & Real FC. U16-U18 College Combine Showcase Teams of Johnsburg White Lightning. (4) Year Varsity starter for Johnsburg High School, MVP, Captain and Leading scorer as Defensive Back my Senior year. Played (4) years of U23 split between Crystal Lake Force, Shadow Premier and the JWL23’s.  Played (4) years DIII on a scholarship to Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. Went to CCIW Conference Championship my Freshman and Sophomore years.

Greatest Coaching Moment for me was after Graduating from Millikin University, went on to teach English in China; A Socialist Country in which girls are not allowed to participate in organized athletic sports unless professionally chosen. I was the first foreigner, let alone female, to be granted permission to form, coach and train a female soccer team at a Government School. With the gracious donations from family, friends, TLI and JWL club, the first Girls Team was formed at Northeast Normal University in the Jilin Province of Changchun, China.  We scrimmaged against the local boys teams…and we won in more ways than one.

 
 


 

CHRISTINA KOCISZEWSKI, STAFF TRAINER

Coaching Experience: Former club coach at ALITHSA Arsenal from 2010-2015. Coached youth level girls from U10-U16.

Playing Experience:  
Judson University Career Goal Scoring Leader 79, NAIA All-American (3 times), Female Athlete of the Year Judson University, 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2008 CCAC Player of the Year, 2006 CCAC Freshman of the Year, NCCAA All-American (3 times), NSCAA All-America 2008, 2009.  Also played a summer in Canada for the W League of Hamilton FC in 2011.

Currently a mom of one and reside with my husband and son in Lake in the Hills area.

ANGEL GARCIA, STAFF TRAINER

Coaching Experience: 
Coached for Chicago Magic Soccer Club 2005 - 2009, Varsity Head Coach at Woodstock High School 2004 - 2009, and Canlan Sportsplex - Admin/Staff Coach 2014 to present

Playing Experience:
 Played Youth club soccer for Powerhouse FC and Copa FC, four years Varsity for Woodstock High School, two years for McHenry County College.  Played in Metropolitan Men's Soccer League and for the US Army Fort Bliss Soccer team. Angel is a US Army Veteran.


 

 


STEVE CAMARGO, STAFF TRAINER

Coaching Experience:  I have coached for the last 14 years.  I was head coach for the U12-U14 boys, girls and coed teams of Wonder Lake and CrossFire.  I was an Assistand Coach for McHenry Vipers from 2013 through 2016.  I also was an Assistant Coach for NUFC from 2016-2019.

Playing Experience: 
I played soccer every year I was eligible too as a youth this included at the recreational level and then at the travel level at CrossFire of Woodstock all the way through High School.  After High School I continued to play in an adult men's league and then coed leagues.


 



SAWYER JACKMAN, STAFF TRAINER - GOALKEEPING

Coaching Experience: 


Playing Experience: UIC Flames 2016-2019; Florida Gulf Coast 2015-2016.  The St. Charles native was 11-2-1 over his two seasons in Ft. Myers, Florida - including a 9-1-1 record in goal during the 2016 season- helping the Eagles to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. Prior to begining his collegiate career, Jackman helped the Chicago Fire Academy capture the 2015 USSDA U18 National Championship under Larry Sunderland.
